# Expert advice:

01 -
  • Theyre basically handheld tacos but with that irresistible pull-apart bread texture
  • The cheese to beef ratio creates these incredible gooey pockets in every bite
  • Perfect for those nights when you want something fun but dont want to deep fry anything
02 -
  • Let the meat cool slightly before filling—hot filling can melt the dough edge and make sealing nearly impossible
  • Overfilling seems tempting but the cheese will leak out and burn on your baking sheet
  • These reheat surprisingly well in a 180°C oven for about 5 minutes if you have leftovers
03 -
  • Use kitchen scissors to cut the dough strips—its faster and less likely to drag the dough than a knife
  • If you want extra crunch, sprinkle some grated parmesan over the butter before baking
  • Freeze unbaked sticks on a tray, then transfer to a bag and bake from frozen at 200°C for 25 minutes
